Where a spammer is coming from?
Submitted by Pronco on Tue, 04/04/2006 - 21:46.I'm getting majorly spammed in my blog from 207.58.130.217 which is currently hitting the firewall
A whois on the IP doesn't report any abuse department
traceroute traces it to vps.onlyfind.info which also reports just a cPanel installation
maybe I should send an email to cPanel and threaten to alert the FBI
Stop FF memory leaks
Submitted by Pronco on Wed, 22/02/2006 - 11:38.According to this article I found that firefox memory leaks is a feature and not a bug
If you want to disable this feature just follow the following instruction:
- type about:config in your address bar
- scroll down to browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers
- set its value to 0 (zero)
Enjoy a less memory intensive FF
Reported vulnerabilities and real security favor Firefox
Submitted by Pronco on Sun, 25/09/2005 - 17:04.Reported vulnerabilities and real security favor Firefox - A report released Monday by Symantec said that there were more vulnerabilities for Mozilla browsers than for Internet Explorer. Symantec's "Internet Security Threat Report" covers security trends from January 2005 through June 2005. During that time, according to Symantec, Firefox had 25 vendor-confirmed vulnerabilities while Microsoft's Internet Explorer only had 13.
WTH, IE is better than FF ?
Damn Spammer Sluts
Submitted by Pronco on Mon, 19/09/2005 - 09:56.A girl sends me a message; a little unexpected, but I'll answer. Once my email is out there, I get the invite to "her site". Now I'm being flooded with emails from random sluts looking for a gig.
I'm immensely irritated right now, I could think of better things to do.
Annoyed about so called intercapped names
Submitted by Pronco on Sat, 14/05/2005 - 02:03.Why is it that little i's and small e's get everywhere in names for websites, when capitals don't matter on the internet?
Even AltaVista has a middle capital. or am I wrong ?
Do capitals count in URLs? Why do some URLS have some capitals and some small letters?
It all seems very strange.

Eventually I figure out how do I protect myself ?
I'm currently use my online experience to be enjoyable and worry-free and that's why I use Secure Socket layer (SSL) encryption and other security procedures
Maybe I will state a simple security tips to keep in mind, for a safer online experience
